The device acquires images and performs measurement, identification, or pick-and-place guidance directly at the machine level, reducing network traffic and easing the workload on the main controller.
The onboard processor is a Cortex A9 i.MX6 quad core running at 800 MHz, and the available compute headroom supports concurrent inspection steps such as feature extraction, matching, and decision logic. System memory totals 2 GB, so classification models, job data, and lookup tables can remain resident for fast recipe changes. A dedicated 1 MB L2 cache further shortens access to working image data, and the deep-learning variant includes an inference accelerator that preprocesses frames before they reach the CPU.
Imaging performance is defined by a sensor resolution of 1.3 MP that pairs with an 8 mm F4 lens mounted in the S-mount holder to resolve small features at typical working distances.
