The VSC122T24.041P-000 is a smart camera produced by B & R Automation in the VS Smart Sensors series. As part of the integrated machine vision product range, it is installed directly at the machine to capture images, illuminate the scene, and execute embedded algorithms that guide robots, verify assembly, or read codes without an external controller. This arrangement allows image capture, lighting, and inspection tasks to be handled in one housing, reducing the need for separate vision hardware around the station.

Internally, the device records images at a resolution of 3.5 MP and streams them at 43 fps, providing adequate temporal density for moderately fast conveyors. A 800 MHz Cortex A9 i.MX6 quad core processor with four cores works alongside 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 1 MB L2 cache, allowing several vision functions to run simultaneously.
