Positioned in the Smart Camera product group, it embeds optics, illumination, and processing in one housing to execute inline inspection or alignment duties on automated machinery. By performing image capture and analysis locally, the device supplies evaluated results to machine controllers, reducing network traffic and eliminating the need for a separate industrial PC in space-limited installations.

Image processing speed is anchored by a 800 MHz internal clock paired with 2 GB of RAM and a 1 MB L2 cache, giving the sensor adequate bandwidth for multistage algorithms. The imager delivers a native 5.3 MP frame that can be streamed at up to 43 fps, so detailed parts remain sharp even on moving belts. Because preprocessing is included in the standard variant, several vision functions can run concurrently before data leaves the camera. This arrangement also supports line-sensor applications and allows the unit to process inspection tasks locally within integrated machine-vision systems.
