A ring light containing 16 LEDs arranged in four multicolored segments surrounds the lens, and the assembly uses LED lens type 2 so illumination remains uniform across the target. Each segment can emit red, blue, IR, or white light, which helps optimize contrast without external lamps. Segmented lighting also gives the system flexibility when different surfaces, labels, or edges need different illumination colors to improve feature visibility. Because the camera operates with area sensors only, the optical system is tuned for the geometry of its lens assembly.
