Processing is handled by a Cortex A9 i.MX6 quad-core SoC clocked at 800 MHz, giving the camera 4 concurrent pipelines that share a 1 MB L2 cache and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. This computing platform supports the internal algorithms that process images from the native 3.5 MP sensor at up to 43 fps without off-board resources. High throughput lets inspection, code reading, and measurement routines run in parallel, eliminating the need for an external PC. Illumination is integrated, and four segments totaling 16 LEDs employ R / G / B / Lime emitters guided by LED lens type 2 to provide uniform scene lighting.
