Image acquisition is handled at a native resolution of 1.3 MP, and the sensor streams up to 165 fps; this combination supports short exposure times while limiting motion blur on high-speed conveyors. A quad-core architecture with 4 cores runs at 800 MHz and is paired with 2 GB RAM, allowing several vision functions to run at the same time without frame drops. The Cortex A9 i.MX6 processor includes 1 MB of L2 cache to speed repeated data access, and the standard onboard preprocessing pipeline performs filtering and feature extraction before results are posted on the fieldbus.
Optically, the camera is supplied with a 4.6 mm F3.5 lens in an S-mount holder that delivers a horizontal angle of view of 74° onto the 1/1.8-inch sensor surface. The front window is glass with an anti-reflective coating to maintain contrast under uneven ambient illumination. Illumination comes from 16 LEDs arranged in four segments, and each diode can emit R / G / B / Lime light through LED lens type 1 with a wide beam profile, supporting both structured and diffuse lighting tasks. The camera is supplied as the standard variant, so it can be integrated into existing B & R vision applications through a single fieldbus connection.
