The VSC122825.051P-000 is a smart camera manufactured by B&R Automation as part of the VS Smart Sensors series. It integrates imaging, lighting, and processing hardware in one housing so that vision inspection, code reading, and measurement tasks can be executed directly on the production line without a separate computer. This integrated design reduces external wiring and keeps image capture and evaluation in the same device. It is suitable for inspection points where compact installation and fast local processing are important.

The onboard Cortex A9 i.MX6 quad-core processor runs at 800 MHz. Its four processing units expose all 4 cores to the application layer for simultaneous image analysis and communication tasks. A system memory of 2 GB RAM buffers multiple image frames and holds lookup tables needed for advanced preprocessing. The CMOS sensor delivers a native resolution of 5.3 MP, enabling sub-millimeter defect detection when the camera is mounted close to a target. With a maximum throughput of 43 fps, the device can keep pace with moderately fast conveyors while still performing several vision functions at once.

An optical angle of 37° pairs with a fixed 12 mm S-mount lens to set the field of view and working distance. Illumination is provided by an annular array containing 16 LEDs arranged in four independent red segments, and the diodes emit at a peak wavelength of 632 nm to improve contrast on printed markings and metallic edges.
