Product Description:

The 2DS101.60-1 is a controller module that can be used in control systems. It has 3 differential inputs with RS422 level support. They have frequencies up to a maximum of 100 kHz. The module offers 32 digital outputs of the 24 VDC rating. The output offers a maximum of 0.5 A current. The module is powered by a RISC processor with a 0.8 µsec cycle time. The processor is used to efficiently execute instructions rapidly.

The processor includes 256 KByte non-buffered SRAM. As support encoders, it comes equipped with internal supply and isolation. The supply to the encoders has protection from short circuit as well as limiting current. The unit is used to supply various voltages including 24 V ±10% and 4.6 V ±10%. It uses up to 120 mA in loading the maximum encoders. The unit will fit different encoders. It also has absolute encoders support via SSI and parallel interfaces. Resolution for SSI encoder is 16 Bit or 4096 steps. Parallel interface supports resolution up to 12 Bit. It is flexible as far as integration of encoders and precision are concerned. Base plate models BP200, BP201, and BP210 support it. It allows simple integration into already existing hardware platforms. The module type is defined as B&R 2010 I/O. It has the B&R ID code $1B and module ID DS101.

The device is made to be used in high-speed industrial processes. Encoder connections must be closely monitored for voltage and current levels. Otherwise, signal loss or destruction of components will result. The module provides efficient control tasks in complex systems. Digital output design provides fast and agile actuation. Proper mounting provides signal integrity and thermal stability. It has stand-alone power and short circuit protection safety. It also has effective communication between controllers and encoders.
