Product Description:

B&R Automation is one of the leading companies that specialize in the production and repair of automation tools, modules, and machines. They develop various types of products and devices, ranging from small devices such as terminal blocks and input modules to large machines such as motors. The 7AI774.7 is one of B&R Automation’s most renowned screw-in analog input modules developed under the 2003 product series. Like other AIXXX devices by B&R Automation, this small automation module has four input channels with a range of 0 to 20 mA. Similar to other analog input modules, this device employs a 12-bit converter.

The 7AI774.7 employs a powerful set of differential inputs. Differential inputs are typically preferred for applications and systems with noisy EMI and RFI signals. Unlike single-ended lines, differential inputs do not have a direct connection to ground. Instead, differential input provides two complementary wires. By subtracting the signals between these two wires, the differential signal is obtained, which is free from common noises that arise from the EMF noise. At 25 degrees Celsius, the 7AI774.7 has a maximum measurement precision offset of 5 microamperes. At typical operating conditions, this analog input module can consume around 0.4 watts.

To facilitate reliable transmission of signals during operation, the 7AI774.7 employs a dynamic input filter with a cut-off frequency of 225 hertz and an attenuation of 60 dB. Like other B&R modules and devices, this analog module does not come with a terminal block upon purchase. To operate properly, however, a terminal block with 12 pins must be used. The TB712 is one of the terminal blocks that are compatible with the 7AI774.7. Wake Industrial sells this 2003 analog input module with a one-year warranty.
