The 7AF101.7 mounting carrier is produced by B & R Automation as part of the System 2003 Controllers series. Inside a control cabinet, it provides the mechanical support and backplane connection needed for CPU, expansion, and I/O modules to operate as one compact automation node. The carrier groups internal communication paths and field wiring on a single base, helping connected modules exchange signals reliably during sequence control, motion tasks, and general data handling.
