B&R Automation's HCMDISC40-1 is an external hard drive unit made for older storage systems. The hard drive unit is rated to IP54 and supports 220 VAC input. It supports certain media cartridge types and has a drive slot on the front panel. The unit has two channels, h0 and h1, that may be switched on and off.
The HCMDISC40-1 external hard drive unit incorporates a 5V and 12V capable Quantum ProDrive LPS 170 hard drive. A 40-pin IDE connector, standard on LPS models, connects the internal drive. An IEC 320 C14 connector accepts 220 VAC input and produces 5V and 12V as outputs from a multivoltage power supply unit (PSU).
