Product Description:

B & R Automation's HCMAESTRO-0 is a 12 MHz industrial computer that runs on the 0S-9/68000 platform. Embedded control tasks in automation environments are supported by the standard functions integrated into the MAESTRO INDUSTRIAL COMPUTER.

The HCMAESTRO-0 maestro industrial computer features three DB9 male ports, which are often used for RS-232 or RS-485 serial connections. Additionally, it includes two DB25 female connections, which are appropriate for general-purpose I/O or parallel communication. Each connector may include the following serial interface signals labeled: GND (signal ground), Pwr (power supply), RxD (receive data), and TxD. The front panel displays the power status, halt status, receive/transmit activity, and fault detection lights. The Power LED indicates system readiness. The Halt LED indicates that the processor has stopped. The Rx and Tx LEDs flash, indicating serial data exchange. The Err LED indicates fault circumstances that arise during operation. Industrial automation systems require the ability to monitor communication and system conditions in real time, which these indicators enable. Standard electrical signaling enables reliable data transmission and continuous system feedback, both of which are enabled by the hardware architecture.

An additional feature of the HCMAESTRO-0 computer is a processor reset control, which allows for a system reset without the need to cycle the power. The device may be easily expanded with additional interface cards due to its modular design. System uptime is preserved during fault recovery by use of the reset control. Communication modules that enhance functionality can be directly linked using modular connectivity. These features facilitate consistent data handling and system-wide control.
