The 8V1016.50-2 is a servo drive module produced by B & R Automation within the 8V1 ACOPOS Servo Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit converts three-phase mains power into controlled pulse-width-modulated output for synchronous or induction servo motors used in pick-and-place gantries, conveyors, and printing machines. By embedding high-frequency switching electronics and integrated braking circuitry, the drive provides precise torque and speed regulation while coordinating with external limit switches and 24 V control logic common in industrial automation cells.

During continuous operation, the drive delivers 3.6 Aeff to the motor and can support brief overloads up to 12 Aeff for acceleration phases. Those currents are transmitted through cables up to 15 m in length, and they decrease by 0.36 Aeff for each additional 1000 m of installation altitude above 500 m. A maximum electrical output frequency of 598 Hz permits high-speed spindle or linear motor applications, while the internal transistor bridge switches at 10 kHz to minimize ripple current.
