The 8MSC5L.R0-X200-2 is a three-phase synchronous servo motor manufactured by B&R Automation and supplied within the 8MS Three Phase Synchronous Motors series. Designed for direct coupling to high-performance inverters, the motor converts electrical input into precisely controlled shaft torque for positioning and speed-regulation tasks in automated machinery. Its permanent-magnet rotor and stator windings provide the dynamic response needed in packaging, pick-and-place, and material-handling systems. An integrated feedback interface supplies the connected drive with the rotor information required for closed-loop control throughout each operating cycle.
The stator is kept at its operating temperature by a separate cooling circuit, so cabinet airflow does not have to carry the motor’s thermal load. A frame code of 5 indicates the outer diameter and flange pattern used for mounting on medium-torque axis modules. The L length designation indicates an extended active magnetic stack that increases continuous power density.
