At a nominal shaft speed of 3000 rpm, the motor operates at its rated operating point under matched drive control. Position feedback is supplied by a multiturn EnDat encoder that provides 512 lines per revolution, allowing the drive to interpolate fine incremental steps. The scanning head has a -3 dB cutoff frequency of ≥ 100 kHz, supporting rapid traverses without losing the position count. Angular accuracy is maintained within ±60 arcseconds, which supports consistent positioning in indexing tables and pick-and-place arms. Communication occurs over the EnDat serial link, reducing wiring while delivering absolute position and diagnostic data to the control cabinet.
