Product Description:
The purpose of the 8MSA5M.R0-D3, manufactured by B&R Automation, and part of the 8MS Three Phase Synchronous Motors, is to accomplish precision tasks in the automation industry.
Manufactured to the familiar profile AT5 and with the 8 mm - 5 mm belt width ratio and 5 mm pitch, this precision timing belt allows the engineered product to perform and have a sufficient tooth profile engagement for reliable, smooth operation and minimal backlash. It is made of tough polyurethane, with a steel tension member, which gives it to give an excellent tensile strength with a rating of 570 N, or more per 10 mm width, and this makes it stable and does not stretch even under dynamic stresses. Another factor contributing to a long life and wear resistance is its excellent 85 Shore A hardness rating. The timing belt is also massively applicable over the broad range of temperatures of -30°C to +80°C, and hence, it can successfully be used in industries that involve different characteristics of temperatures, and even down to the lowest temperature range. The minimum pulley dimension of 15 mm also makes the compact system compatible, and the recommended steel tension member has a secure performance under different loads.
The belt allows high-speed operation (10 meters per second is the maximum allowable linear speed), but it cannot be collected at the cost of inaccuracy and wearability. It has low backlash and which has been defined as less than or equal to 0.05mm, and this is of paramount significance to robotics, CNC machines, or automatic assembly lines. The low elongation at break (≤ 1.5%) of the belts makes them dimensionally stable under operation. The coefficient of friction is 0.35 on steel, which provides the perfect grip and smooth motion, holding back on slip without causing undue wear.
