The 8MSA5L.R0-B4 is a servo motor designed by B & R Automation to provide high-performance machines with a reliable torque supply while maintaining low inertial levels. The motor is widely used in the production of consumer goods across various industries, including the packaging, plastic, and metal forming industries. The metallic housing of this motor provides a rare level of protection against foreign interference, and it also prevents direct contact of operators with its moving components. Despite the ability of this motor to rapidly accelerate and reach high operation speeds, it still maintains a long lifespan and operation efficiency level higher than 90 per cent. The winding in the motor has a star connection, which is connected to a thermistor sensor that monitors the internal temperature and enables the drive controller to prevent overheating damage during operation.
The 8MSA5L.R0-B4 servo motor should only be used with B & R ACOPOS controllers. It features two circular plugs, which are designed for its power and motor feedback connections to the controller.
