The 8MSA4M.R0-42 is a three-phase synchronous motor produced by B&R Automation within the 8MS Three Phase Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for high-speed axes in automation cells, where it converts electrical energy into rotary motion for precise positioning in pick-and-place gantries and machine tool spindles. In servo-controlled systems, it supports repeatable speed changes and accurate position correction during rapid indexing. The motor is supplied without a holding brake or oil seal, so it is best suited to installations that already provide external load holding or sealing at the machine level.
Wiring access is located on side A, keeping power and feedback leads close to cabinet walls in compact machines.
