The 8MSA4M.E3-86 is a three-phase synchronous motor manufactured by B&R Automation for the 8MS Three Phase Synchronous Motors series. The motor can support synchronized axes, controlled conveyor motion, and other applications that rely on accurate rotary movement. The motor reaches a nominal speed of 6000 rpm, allowing it to support fast positioning cycles in pick-and-place equipment or packaging lines. Its IP65 protection rating shields the stator and encoder from dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. The self-cooling design dissipates winding heat through the housing and surrounding air without requiring external forced ventilation. When power is removed, an integrated brake clamps the shaft with 8 Nm of torque to hold stationary loads.
