The 8MSA4M.E3-67 is a slender and extremely durable industrial motor unit built by B & R Automation to be used for high-performance applications. This motor features a low-cog design and uses special magnetic material designed to ensure a low inertial level during its operation. The sophistication of this motor makes it the preferred choice in the production of consumer products in various industries such as the food, metal, and plastic industries. Unlike traditional motor designs, this product requires connection to the ACOPOS servo drive controller, which is manufactured by the same manufacturer. The joint operation of the motor with this controller provides high power density that can rival any other setup in the production and processing industries. The connection interface of this motor is located on top of its housing. After the motor is installed and plugged into the drive, it is automatically recognized and ready to go. Customers do not have to make any settings on the servo drive in the field.
The 8MSA4M.E3-67 motor unit features a three-phase winding with star connection design. This winding is also connected to a thermistor that keeps track of the motor's internal temperature, allowing the drive controller to detect any increase in temperature and disconnect the motor before any damage occurs. The Cooling system of this motor does not involve any kind of air blower; the heat is conducted to the housing, where it is safely eliminated by natural convection and radiation.
