Its three-phase stator and permanent-magnet rotor combination makes it suitable for coordinated motion tasks in automated assembly and material-handling systems where accurate positioning and repeatable velocity are required.
The power and feedback leads exit from the top of the housing, so cables can be routed upward without extra brackets. Thermal losses are removed through self-cooling that relies on surface convection, eliminating the need for external fans. The motor reaches a nominal shaft speed of 3000 rpm, and its frame size is 3, giving it a compact footprint for mid-range power requirements. Its relative rated torque has an extra-large rating, enabling acceleration of heavier inertial loads without requiring a larger drive. A smooth shaft end simplifies connection to gearboxes or belt pulleys. The absence of a holding brake means that mechanical locking must be provided externally when power is removed. No oil seal is installed, so protection against oil must be provided by the connected machine enclosure.
Length code X indicates an elongated active stack that raises continuous torque density, and the shaft can withstand an axial force of up to 200 N without damaging the bearings.
