Product Description:
The 8MSA3X.R0-32 is a resolver dependent AC motor built by B & R Automation for motion control. It has an embedded brake system with a holding torque of 4 Nm and 0.18 kg·cm² moment of inertia. This motor possesses a rated rotational acceleration of 80000 rad/sec² and its angular peak speed goes up to a value of 12000 RPM with the built-in standard bearing, that also permits axial loads up to 200 N.
The 8MSA3X.R0-32 motor function on an AC source of 400 VAC to 480 VAC, with ± 10 % tolerance range and consumes 0.79 kW of power while rotating a nominal speed of 3000 RPM. It has a rated torque of 2.5 Nm and utilizes 1.82 A of current. This motor provides a maximum turn effect of 12 Nm and in overload conditions the maximum current draw reaches 9 A. The 8MSA3X motor generates a turning effect constant of 0.44 Nm for every 1 A current usage and it produces a back emf that is measured as 87 V for every 1000 rotations. The stator has an inductive value of 26.7 mH and an impedance of 11.6 Ohms. It features an electrical time value as low as 2.3 ms to cope with load changes at the output and its rotational inertia without the brake is 1.5 kg·cm².
The 8MSA3X.R0-32 motor is IP64 protected but with an addable oil seal it achieves the IP65 protection rating as a whole to resist outside pollutants from entering. It also has a recommended environmental operating range of 258.15 K to 313.15 K but it is capable of operating up to 328.15 K at a decreased performance, which results in ageing the motor. The 8MSA3X motor is presented with Intercontec circular connector for power termination.
Frequently Asked Questions about 8MSA3X.R0-32:
Q: Why is the resolver dependency important in the 8MSA3X.R0-32 motor?
A: Resolver dependency provides accurate rotor position feedback, improving control precision and reliability in dynamic motion applications. This is essential for maintaining performance in complex automation tasks.
Q: What benefits does the electrical time constant of 2.3 ms provide?
A: A low electrical time constant enables rapid response to load changes, minimizing torque ripple and improving control stability. This feature is crucial for high-speed and precision motion control scenarios.
Q: How does the moment of inertia affect the motor’s acceleration?
A: Lower moment of inertia, such as 0.18 kgcm² with brake engaged, allows quicker acceleration and deceleration. This helps the 8MSA3X.R0-32 motor achieve its rated rotational acceleration of 80000 rad/sec² efficiently.
Q: What is the purpose of the Intercontec circular connector on the 8MSA3X.R0-32 motor?
A: The Intercontec circular connector on the 8MSA3X.R0-32 motor enables efficient transmission of power and encoder feedback through a compact, robust interface. It ensures quick, secure connections with IP-rated protection for use in demanding industrial environments.
Q: Why is axial load capacity of 200 N significant for the 8MSA3X.R0-32 motor?
A: The 200 N axial load rating protects the motor’s bearings from damage under axial forces during operation. This enhances durability and reduces maintenance needs in vertical or heavy-load applications.
