During continuous operation, the motor reaches a rated speed of 3000 rpm, allowing direct connection to drive trains that expect standard high-speed spindle behavior. Position feedback is provided at 512 lines per revolution by the built-in encoder, and interpolation supports tight velocity and position loops. Communication takes place through the EnDat serial interface, so the drive controller can read multi-turn data and diagnostic information over a single shielded cable. Heat is removed by the housing’s self-cooling design, eliminating the need for an external blower and keeping enclosure layouts compact. During installation, the shaft may be pressed with up to 200 N of axial force, which helps during pulley or coupling assembly.
The encoder bandwidth reaches ≥ 100 kHz (-3 dB), and its precision remains within ±60", supporting fine interpolation across the motor’s multi-turn range of 4096 recognized revolutions. Mechanical connection is streamlined by a smooth shaft, and wiring exits on the A side of the stator to keep cable routing predictable inside tight cabinets. The motor uses length code S and size code 3, provides a relatively small rated torque, and is supplied without a holding brake or oil seal to reduce mass for fast-moving axes.
