Product Description:

The 8MSA3L.R0-67 Motor of B&R features swift electrical dynamics such as electrical time constant of 1.23 ms and peak current of 3.4 amperes. It has an exceptional peak torque of 0.39 kg·cm² and has a low inertia which makes it provide precise control and powerful acceleration in demanding, high-speed automation and motion control applications.

The 8MSA3L.R0-67 motor employs a resolver which is a type of rotary electrical transformer used for high-accuracy angle sensing that ensures continuous tracking of the shaft's orientation which is vital for closed-loop control systems in automation. It is designed to naturally expel heat during operation through convection and radiation which makes it more compact and less dependent on auxiliary systems. The highest rotational velocity achievable by this servo unit is 12,000 revs/mint and at continuous operation under nominal load, it can consistently deliver 270 watts of mechanical output. Each phase of the stator winding has an inductance value of 62 millihenries and it can exert a twisting force of 0.65 newton-meters when the rotor is immobilized but the windings are energized. It generates back electromotive force (EMF) generated is 50 volts for every 1000 revolutions per minute and it has a thermal time constant value equivalent to 25 mint.

This 8MS series motor is capable of achieving angular acceleration up to 66,667 radians per second squared and its intended operational velocity under full load is 4500 RPM. It reliably produces a turning force of 0.58 newton-meters during sustained use at rated conditions and it draws 0.79 amperes which it is electrically energized but not rotating. For every ampere of supplied current it generates 0.83 nm torque which describes its electromagnetic efficiency and it consumes 0.75 amperes of electric current at its continuous rated performance.

Frequently Asked Questions about 8MSA3L.R0-67:

Q: Why is low rotor inertia important in the 8MSA3L.R0-67 servo motor?

A: Low inertia allows quicker changes in rotational direction, enhancing dynamic response. This is critical in precision motion control and rapid start-stop cycles.

Q: How does the resolver improve performance in the 8MSA3L.R0-67 motor?

A: The resolver enables high-resolution, continuous position tracking. It ensures stable feedback in harsh environments where optical encoders may fail.

Q: Why is a thermal time constant of 25 minutes beneficial for this motor?

A: A longer thermal time constant helps the motor withstand temperature changes over time. This supports reliability in demanding, variable-load operations.

Q: How does high stator resistance (50.3 Ω) affect the 8MSA3L.R0-67's efficiency?

A: Higher resistance slightly reduces electrical efficiency due to heat loss. However, it also allows better current limiting and motor protection.

Q: What makes the 8MSA3L.R0-67 suitable for high-speed applications?

A: With a top speed of 12,000 RPM and precise feedback, it's ideal for fast cycles. These features reduce cycle time and improve throughput.
