The 8MSA2L.E5-I8 is a three-phase state-of-the-art industrial motor unit characterized by its high performance standards and low cost of ownership. This industrial motor features a smooth housing unit that is covered in a black varnish and able to provide reliable protection as defined for IP65 products by IEC 60034-5. The motor is a permanent magnet device equipped with a Neodymium Iron magnet, which allows it to maintain a low level of inertia during its operation. The motor also features a three-phase winding with star connection and an integrated sensor that allows the drive controller to keep track of the internal temperature in the motor housing when it is in operation. The maximum permissible winding temperature for this motor winding is about 140 degrees Celsius. The permissible drive controller for this industrial motor is the ACOPOS servo drives, also manufactured by the B & R automation.

The 8MSA2L.E5-I8 industrial motor belongs to the insulation class F, it does not feature an air blower and can maintain efficient heat dissipation through natural convection and radiation from its housing surface.
