Product Description:
The 8LSN43.DB030S300-1 is a three-phase synchronous motor produced by B&R Automation for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. The frame includes a mounting flange interface that simplifies direct attachment to a machine housing. As a rotating actuator, the motor receives controlled current from a servo inverter and delivers stable torque and speed to positioning tables, pick-and-place modules, and other motion axes in industrial automation. Its synchronous operation supports precise control of angular position and velocity when paired with a compatible drive.
The motor operates at a rated speed of 3000 rpm, supporting high-cycle motion under nominal voltage and load conditions. Heat removal relies on a self-cooling design with an increased mass moment of inertia, so no external fan or liquid-cooling circuit is needed, while the additional rotor mass helps smooth changes in speed. The square mounting interface has a 100 mm flange dimension, allowing accurate alignment with compatible machine frames and mounting plates. Electrical power and feedback signals pass through a single-cable hybrid connection, which reduces machine wiring compared with separate motor and encoder cables. Mechanical power is transmitted through a shaft with a key, providing positive engagement with keyed couplings and preventing relative rotation under load.
The motor integrates an inductive EnDat feedback system that supports the EnDat 2.2 protocol for digital position reporting to the drive. Its absolute encoder provides 19/12-bit resolution across the single-turn and multi-turn ranges, supporting accurate position tracking during controlled motion. The encoder also has a multi-turn capacity of 4,096 revolutions, allowing the axis position to remain available after power is restored. A standard holding brake secures the rotor when the brake is engaged, helping prevent vertical or suspended loads from moving while the axis is stationary. Length code 3 indicates the magnetic stack depth used in this motor configuration. Because the motor does not include an oil seal, the shaft area should be protected from pressurized coolant and other liquids that could enter the bearing region.
