Product Description:
The 8LSC74.EA045D011-3 is a three-phase synchronous servo motor produced by B&R Automation as part of the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. In automated handling, packaging, and metal-cutting stations, the unit supplies closed-loop torque and velocity so that the associated drive can position loads with millisecond accuracy. Position feedback is supplied by an inductive EnDat encoder, version 2.1, with 19-bit single-turn resolution and no active multi-turn resolution.
The motor produces a continuous torque of 24.6 Nm while drawing 22.57 A at its rated operating point. Its shaft can maintain 4500 rpm under that load, and transient demands are supported by a peak torque of 150 Nm when the phase current reaches 202 A. The laminated stator has an inductance of 2.2 mH, which works with the internal winding resistance to provide an electrical time constant of 16.92 ms. Five pole pairs and a torque constant of 1.09 Nm/A determine the current-to-torque conversion. The single-turn encoder channel provides the active position data used by the drive for closed-loop motor control.
The motor has a reinforced A-side bearing, a length code 4 housing, and a 190 mm mounting flange that connects to the machine frame. An angled swivel connector routes the power and encoder lines through one connector assembly. Cooling is handled by a built-in fan assembly, providing a thermal time constant of 41 min. Rotor inertia is 60 kgcm², supporting rapid speed changes, while the stall torque reaches 43 Nm at a stall current of 39.45 A. Additional electrical values include a voltage constant of 65.97 V/1000 rpm and a phase resistance of 0.13 Ω. The motor weighs 24 kg and is supplied without a holding brake or oil seal. It has product revision 3, uses a smooth shaft, and is secured with the provided mounting hardware.
