The motor has a standard configuration without a reinforced bearing, favoring a compact size over additional radial-load capacity. In industrial automation, the unit converts drive current into precise rotary motion for indexing tables, linear actuators, and light conveyor stations. Its synchronous operation supports controlled acceleration and repeatable positioning when paired with a compatible servo drive.
The motor mounts on a frame pattern of 70 mm, and rotor torque is transferred through the output shaft to the connected load. Power and encoder signals share a single-cable hybrid solution that terminates in a connector, reducing cabinet entry points and cable drag. Heat is dissipated by self-cooling through free air circulation, so no fan or liquid jacket is required when ambient air can move freely across the housing. Shaft position is measured by an inductive EnDat system operating with EnDat version 2.2, supplying absolute position values to the drive without battery support. Under continuous-duty operation, the rotor reaches 4500 rpm, allowing high-speed pick-and-place heads or form-fill-seal rollers to operate within the same motor frame. An external oil seal is not installed, so the shaft area must remain free of pressurized media. The lack of a shaft seal also makes the motor better suited to clean, dry operating areas where liquid exposure can be controlled.
The feedback system provides 19-bit single-turn and 12-bit multi-turn resolution and tracks position across a multi-turn range of 4096 revolutions without mechanical gearing. A smooth shaft supports connection to low-inertia clamping hubs, while the built-in mounting flange maintains repeatable axial alignment. The motor uses a three-phase synchronous design that produces controlled torque with limited cogging. This feedback arrangement preserves the stored shaft position across multiple revolutions, allowing the drive to recognize the axis position after power is restored. A holding brake is not present, so vertical axes require an external brake module to secure loads when power is removed. Clamping couplings should be selected to provide sufficient grip on the smooth shaft without relying on a keyway.
