Product Description:
The 8LSA75.DB030S000-3 is a three-phase synchronous motor produced by B & R Automation within the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. In automated machinery, this unit converts electrical power into rotary motion for positioning and velocity control in conveyors, robotics, and packaging equipment. Its flange-mounted design allows direct integration into machine axes and supports accurate alignment with the driven mechanism. The motor connects to a compatible servo drive for closed-loop regulation of torque, speed, and position.
During continuous operation, the motor provides a nominal torque of 30 Nm at a rated speed of 3000 rpm, producing a mechanical output of 9425 W while drawing 18.4 A from the drive. This torque is produced by a five-pole-pair rotor with a torque constant of 1.63 Nm/A, allowing the controller to estimate load from the phase current. During acceleration, the shaft can deliver a peak torque of 187 Nm. The motor supports a stall torque of 43 Nm at a corresponding current of 26.38 A. Its electrical behavior is characterized by a stator resistance of 0.21 Ω and a back electromotive force coefficient of 98.44 V per 1000 rpm.
The motor has a rotor inertia of 74 kgcm² and a phase inductance of 3.9 mH, which affect acceleration and current-loop response. The drive must supply up to 168.71 A during peak demand. A hybrid connector combines the power conductors with the EnDat 2.2 feedback lines, reducing the number of separate cable connections. The inductive encoder provides 19-bit single-turn resolution, 12-bit multi-turn resolution, and position tracking across 4096 revolutions. The housing has a 190 mm flange dimension and length code 5. A smooth shaft and a standard 8LSA bearing set support the mechanical output, while the motor is supplied without a holding brake or oil seal. Heat is dissipated through self-cooling and free air circulation. The motor has an overall mass of 28 kg and is product revision 3.
