Product Description:
8LSA75.DB030S000-3 is a compact servo motor from B&R Automation’s 8LS series. It is a synchronous motor: its rotor rotates at the same speed as the stator’s magnetic field, i.e., in synchronization with the supply frequency. 8LS motors require a compatible ACOPOS servo drive for closed loop control. The drive supplies AC power for the drive. The motor sends feedback to the drive, allowing it to control motor shaft speed and position. 8LSA75.DB030S000-3 is a motor with an inductive 32-line multiturn encoder that provides real-time digital feedback. The motor has a rotatable and angled connector and supports single-cable connection technology. This single cable carries motor power and feedback. Benefits of using a single cable include lower installation and maintenance costs. The motor has five pole pairs. Its stall torque is 43 Nm.
There is no holding brake on the motor. The shaft end is smooth. An optional oil seal is not installed. Nominal power output of the motor unit is 9.425 kilowatts and the nominal torque is 30 Nm. The maximum torque and current are 187 Nm and 169 Amps respectively. The electrical and thermal time constants are 18.57 milliseconds and 46 minutes. Moment of inertia of the rotor is 74 kg cm2. Weight of the 8LSA75.DB030S000-3 servo motor is 28 kilograms. It is a self-cooled device that uses convection and conduction for dissipating heat. Certifications for the motor include CE, UL, and UKCA. The power supply must be turned off before the motor is installed. Personnel involved in motor installation must follow manufacturer guidelines. Turn off the motor and allow it to discharge before working on it. Failure to properly discharge the DC bus can lead to severe electric shock.
