The 8LSA55.E1030D300-3 is a three-phase synchronous motor manufactured by B&R Automation for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. The unit converts controlled inverter output into rotary motion for packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, and similar automation equipment through a keyed shaft end. The motor achieves a rated speed of 3000 rpm, permitting direct coupling to drives that operate with 1 kHz position loops. The front bearing arrangement has no oil seal, so the motor must be isolated from spray lubrication and other liquids that could reach the shaft opening. The standard bearing arrangement does not include reinforced bearings, which helps limit motor weight while accommodating the typical radial loads associated with this frame size.
