In a drive system, the motor converts controlled electrical energy into mechanical torque for conveyors, pick-and-place units, and packaging machinery. Electrically, the unit is a three-phase synchronous motor, so its stator windings receive a balanced three-phase supply that helps keep torque ripple low. The nominal shaft speed is 3000 rpm, providing a reference point for selecting gear ratios and configuring motion profiles. Heat generated in the windings is removed through self-cooling with free air circulation, eliminating the need for an external blower.
