The 8LSA44.D0030D000-0 is a three-phase synchronous servo motor produced by B&R Automation for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. As a rotary actuator, it converts power from a matching inverter into continuous torque and speed for positioning or velocity control on packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and other industrial axes. Its mechanical design uses the series’ standard housing, keeping mass low while meeting the precision requirements of closed-loop motion systems.
The motor reaches a rated speed of 3000 rpm, providing a fixed upper limit for selecting gear ratios and feedback bandwidth. A flange face measuring 100 mm simplifies alignment with compatible equipment frames. Position feedback is supplied by an optical EnDat sensor that uses protocol revision 2.2. This interface provides absolute single-turn position data with a configuration of 25 single-turn bits and 0 multiturn bits, enabling precise loop closure in the controller. Heat is removed through self-cooling with free air circulation, so the motor does not require an external blower or liquid cooling circuit.
