8LSA43.E1030C600-0 is an air-cooled AC servo motor. It is part of B&R Automation’s 8LS series. Rated output for 8LS motors is available under optimal operation conditions. These include -15 to 40 ⁰C ambient temperature and 0 to 1000 meters site altitude. Above 40 ⁰C, the rated motor current and stall current fall by 10% if the ambient temperature rises by 10 ⁰C. Above 1000 meters, the rated motor current and stall current fall by 10% if the altitude rises by 1000 meters. Absolute permitted ambient limits for 8LS motor operation are 55 ⁰C and 2000 meters. 8LS motors require AC input at 230 or 400 Volts. However, operators must supply these motors with power from an ACOPOS servo drive. Direct connection to AC mains is absolutely not permitted.
Temperature of the motor flange must not exceed 65 ⁰C. Motors with an oil seal on the shaft are IP65 rated, and motors without the seal are IP64 rated. Permitted mounting arrangements include horizontal and vertical (motor hanging or standing on the machine). Storage temperature for 8LS motors is -20 to 60 ⁰C and the temperature for motor transport is also -20 to 60 ⁰C. Permitted relative humidity for operation, storage and transport is 5 to 95%, maximum 90%, and maximum 90%, respectively. There is no holding brake on the 8LSA43.E1030C600-0 motor.
