Product Description:
The 8LSA35.R2060D000-3 is a three-phase synchronous motor manufactured by B&R Automation as part of the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. Supplied in the standard 8LSA configuration, this revision 3 model connects directly to servo drives to position tooling, conveyors, or feed rolls with high repeatability. By converting drive current into precisely controlled mechanical rotation, the motor serves as the primary actuator in automated assembly and material-handling stations. Its synchronous design supports accurate speed and position control across repetitive operating cycles.
During continuous operation, the motor delivers a nominal torque of 1.6 Nm at a rated speed of 6000 rpm, producing 1005 W of mechanical output while drawing a nominal current of 2.2 A. The resolver encoder supports closed-loop control with a positioning precision of 6 arcmin. For transient demands, the winding can accept a peak current of 13.6 A, enabling a maximum torque of 9.2 Nm before magnetic saturation occurs. At standstill, the motor produces 2.3 Nm of torque while limiting current to 3.2 A. The drive operates with a voltage constant of 43.98 V per 1000 rpm, and the stator resistance is 3.02 Ω.
The self-cooling design transfers heat through free air circulation, so no external blower is required. Electrical and feedback conductors exit the housing through an angled swivel connector that simplifies cable routing. Installation uses a mounting flange with a 91.3 mm spigot, while the motor has a length code 5 stator stack. Rotor inertia is 0.9 kg·cm², and the lamination set has a stator inductance of 15.6 mH and a torque constant of 0.73 Nm/A. These electrical values support accurate configuration of the connected servo drive for responsive current and torque control. The motor has a total mass of 4.4 kg and is supplied without an oil seal or holding brake. A smooth shaft supports direct coupling to compatible mechanical loads.
