Product Description:
The 8LSA35.R2030D200-3 is a three-phase synchronous motor produced by B&R Automation as part of the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. Designed for servo axes in packaging, material-handling, and light machining equipment, it converts electrical power into precise rotary motion while supplying position feedback to the drive. The motor is intended for closed-loop motion systems where speed, torque, and position must remain controlled during repeated cycles. Its compact frame and integrated resolver support high speed and repeatable accuracy in a single electromechanical unit. The housing follows IEC mounting conventions, which supports installation on common machine interfaces used in automated equipment.
Its mechanical interface uses a flange dimension of 91.3 mm, allowing direct attachment to machine frames through the mounting flange without added adapter plates. A standard holding brake locks the rotor when power is removed, which helps prevent drift on vertical loads. Nominal operating speed reaches 3000 rpm for high-speed servo operation. Heat is removed through self-cooling with free air circulation, so no external blower is required. Position feedback relies on a resolver, which provides rotor angle feedback that remains stable during electrical transients. Power and feedback lines exit through an angled swivel connector, and the length code 5 housing indicates the medium stack length in this motor family.
System repeatability is 6 arcmin, which supports accurate indexing across the full speed range. Cable routing is improved by the angled connection, allowing the swivel plug to turn toward the cabinet in cramped layouts. A smooth shaft mates with clamp hubs to help minimize backlash during torque transfer. The motor uses the 8LSA standard configuration, which omits reinforced bearings and uses no oil seal to keep inertia low. The product is revision 3.
