The 8LSA35.R0022D100-0 is a compact synchronous motor produced by B&R Automation as part of the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. Intended for servo axes in packaging machines, material-handling lines, and general machinery, the unit converts drive current into precisely regulated torque and speed for coordinated multi-axis motion. It works with compatible B&R drives to support closed-loop position and velocity control in automated equipment.
The motor uses a three-phase synchronous design, so its stator windings accept three balanced phases from a compatible inverter and produce consistent average torque with low torque ripple. Under rated excitation, it reaches 2200 rpm, making it suitable for moderate-throughput stations that require accurate positioning. Rotor position is returned to the drive by a resolver, which provides analog sine-cosine feedback that remains accurate in electrically noisy operating environments. Thermal management relies on self-cooling, allowing ambient air to carry heat away without forced ventilation. The square face measures 91.3 mm across the flange and provides the required attachment interface for compatible gearboxes or machine frames.
