Product Description:
The 8LSA35.EA060D000-3 is a three-phase synchronous motor produced by B&R Automation as part of the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. Intended for industrial automation, the unit converts regulated current from a servo drive into precisely controlled rotary motion for packaging stations, gantries, and assembly cells. The motor follows the 8LSA configuration, with standard bearings and dimensions suited to compact machine frames. Closed-loop operation allows the connected drive to correct speed and position as machine loads change during repetitive production cycles.
Its square mounting face measures 91.3 mm, and the rated shaft speed reaches 6000 rpm, providing a high speed range for light-to-medium inertia loads. Positional feedback is delivered by an inductive EnDat sensor, and communication conforms to EnDat 2.1 so the drive receives incremental and absolute position data over a single cable. The encoder provides a resolution of 19/0 bits for single-turn and multi-turn position data, supporting tight control-loop gains without external gear reduction. The absolute position data remain available to the drive after startup, while incremental data support continuous motion regulation.
Cabling exits through an angled swivel connector that simplifies routing in shallow enclosures, and heat is removed by self-cooling with free air circulation, eliminating auxiliary fans. A smooth shaft is supplied for backlash-free coupling to precision clamping hubs, while the integrated mounting flange allows direct bolting to IEC equipment frames. The motor has length code 5, lacks an oil seal, and is supplied without a holding brake, so shaft sealing and static load retention must be managed externally. Power and feedback wiring use a single connector, reducing the number of cable entry points on the housing during installation. The product is revision level 3.
