Product Description:
The 8LSA34.R2030D000-3 is a three-phase servo motor produced by B&R Automation within the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. The internal 8LSA designation applies to units that use the standard housing without reinforced bearings, and this model follows that configuration. In automated machinery, the motor converts regulated drive current into rotary motion that can be synchronized with position or velocity loops. This capability allows direct coupling to indexing tables, linear stages, or compact gearboxes in applications that require controlled movement. The standard housing also provides a compact mechanical profile for integration into space-constrained machine assemblies.
The motor reaches a rated speed of 3000 rpm, allowing drives to keep conveyor or spindle cycles within common industrial ranges. The motor uses self-cooling through free air circulation, so no external blower or liquid cooling circuit is needed. A flange dimension of 91.3 mm establishes the mounting interface and helps align the motor face with adjacent machine frames. Rotor position feedback is supplied by a resolver, which tolerates electrical noise and elevated temperatures better than many optical feedback devices. Power and signal conductors exit the housing through an angled swivel connector, easing cable routing in confined spaces while permitting field rotation to relieve strain. This connector arrangement also allows the cable direction to be adjusted without changing the motor’s mounting position.
A smooth shaft supports hub-clamp or shrink-fit couplings that transmit torque without a keyway. Reversal accuracy is maintained within 6 arcmin, supporting applications that require repeatable bidirectional alignment. The stator uses a three-phase synchronous winding that supports smooth torque production throughout each electrical rotation. Installation uses a mounting flange, while the length code 4 stack provides additional active material for higher continuous output. The motor has no holding brake or oil seal, and its connection hardware consists of a molded circular connector. These features make the motor suitable for clean, dry operating areas where shaft sealing is unnecessary and external load holding is available. Product revision 3 incorporates updates to the insulation and winding resin without changing the external dimensions.
