The unit converts the pulse-width modulated output of a servo drive into controlled mechanical rotation, supporting positioning, indexing, and velocity control in packaging machines, assembly cells, and conveyor segments. Its standard 8LSA configuration does not include reinforced bearings. The smooth shaft and flange-mounted body allow direct coupling to gearboxes or timing-belt pulleys without intermediate adapters.
The motor reaches a rated speed of 4500 rpm, providing headroom for high-cycle operation while remaining within its continuous torque range. A 58 mm front flange centers the stator stack and transfers radial loads to the machine frame. Heat generated by copper losses is removed through self-cooling, which relies on free air circulation along the housing fins, so the installation does not require external blowers or liquid cooling lines. Rotor position is measured by an optical EnDat feedback system that supports bidirectional communication for electronic motor data and diagnostics.
