The 8KSJ95.E7020B100-0 is a three-phase synchronous motor produced by B & R Automation for the 8KS Synchronous Motors series. Designed for demanding motion axes in industrial automation, it delivers controlled rotary power that can be synchronized with high-performance servo drives. The 8KSJ design emphasizes thermal stability and positional repeatability, allowing the motor to maintain precise alignment with electronic cams, pick-and-place arms, or continuous-process rollers. Its mechanical dimensions follow a size 9 frame, giving integrators a compact, high-torque package suitable for medium-inertia loads.
Its speed capability is rated at 2000 rpm, and continuous operation at that velocity is supported by a water-cooled jacket. The water lines are routed on the right side of the stator, and the cooling unit is installed on the same side to keep the connection points grouped. An EnDat multi-turn feedback system based on an optical scanning principle communicates through EnDat 2.1. The encoder provides a base resolution of 2048 lines and an overall positioning accuracy of ±20 arcseconds. The motor uses the 8KSJ subtype, a size 9 stator, and length code 5.
