8EAC0152.001-1 is a B&R plug-in module with one analog encoder interface. This module connects to multiple encoder types. When installed on an ACOPOS P3 servo drive, the module allows evaluation of analog encoders. An adapter cable measuring 0.4 meters is required to connect the module to the motor encoder. This cable has a 10-pin male connector for the servo drive side and a 15-pin female DSUB connector for the motor encoder side. The module occupies one slot on an ACOPOS P3 drive. It can draw up to 12 Watts power from the servo drive. The manufacturer has not provided status indicators on the plug-in module. Operators can use cables measuring up to 75 meters to connect the module to encoders on servo motors. The module can accept sine/cosine encoder inputs with 12-bit resolution.
The input signal frequency depends on the selected encoder type. Output voltage for the encoder power can be set to 5.2 Volts or 11.45 Volts.
