8EAC0150.003-1 is a plug-in module for B&R ACOPOS servo drives. It is designed specifically for the P3 8EI drive. The module features three multi-encoder interfaces. These interfaces allow evaluation for digital encoders on servo motors manufactured by B&R Automation. They can also be used for evaluation of external motion axes. The module monitors input signals from connected encoders, and can detect power supply failures, and open- and short-circuits. The operating system on ACOPOS drives can identify the plug-in module after it is switched on. Encoder types supported by the 8EAC0150.003-1 module include SSI, T format, EnDat 2.2, and Hiperface DSL. Operators can select the appropriate encoder type in the Automation Studio software. An adapter cable is required to connect each encoder interface on the module to a motor.
The 8EAC0150.003-1 installs in slot 1. Its maximum power consumption is 16.5 Watts. Product certifications include KC, UL, CE, and UKCA. The plug-in module has 8-pin interfaces with female I/O connectors for the encoder inputs. There are no status indictors on the module for the encoder interfaces.
