Product Description:
The 8EI8X8MWS30.01ZZ-1 is a servo drive manufactured by B&R Automation for the 8EI Servo Drives series. It is an ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive. Supplied as a compact power stage, it interfaces with higher-level machine controllers to command motor speed and position in automated cells, conveyors, or packaging stations, translating control words into precise phase currents for synchronous or induction motors.
This unit is delivered as a 1-axis module, so one motor channel and its associated feedback interface are included on the board. A continuous output of 8.8 Aeff allows the drive to support mid-frame servomotors without external cooling. Mains connection is possible on three phases at 3× 200-230 VAC, and the design also accepts a single-phase 110-230 VAC source when reduced power is required. Power, signal, and safety wiring terminate on a 2-row connector set, while the first 1-row connector set is not fitted, reducing width and unused contacts. Installation follows a vertical orientation with wall mounting, which supports airflow along the heat sink while keeping cabinet rail space free. No plug-in I/O or communication module is included, so the drive relies on the integral network interface provided by the series.
Matching versions are available as a 2-axis module or a 3-axis module, allowing mixed use of these variants in the same system layout. Thermal energy produced during braking events is routed to an external resistor because there is no internal braking resistor. The housing is supplied without a front cover, leaving the terminal blocks exposed for wiring, and there is no 1-row connector set to shield. The configuration follows the standard option, which means no module-specific accessories are factory fitted. External plug-in filters or safety relays can be added only where required by the application.
