Product Description:

The 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1 servo drive supports numerous motor connections and meets industrial automation system needs. B&R Automation's ACOPOS P3 servo drives provide precise motion control. The drive is used for precise motor control and torque output.

The ACOPOS P3 servo drive delivers 8.8 A eff per channel from three motor connection outputs. Peak motor connection current is 24 A eff. Each motor connection can supply 4 kW continuously and 10 kW peak. The servo drive supports a 24 VDC power supply and input voltage of 24 VDC ±25%. The 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1 servo drive has short circuit and ground fault protection. Switching frequencies of 5, 10, and 20 kHz are supported, with 5 kHz as the nominal. Maximum motor line length at 5 kHz is 75 meters. Maximum at 10 kHz is 37.5 meters. Current reduction depends on switching frequency: 0.373 A/K at 5 kHz and 0.154 A/K at 10 kHz at 45.2°C and 18.5°C, respectively. At 500 meters above sea level, elevation-based derating reduces A eff by 0.88 A every 1000 meters. An input capacitance of 5507 µF and a DC bus capacitance of 470 µF are also specifications of the servo drive component. The servo drive is equipped with overload protection and shield connection, in addition to the motor maintaining the brake current consumption.

The 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1 servo drive has U, V, W, and PE connectors. The terminal connection holds flexible, fine-stranded wires with 1.5 to 6 mm² wire end coverings. The 24–8 AWG product is CSA and UL/C-UL-US approved. The ACOPOS P3 servo drive meets industrial automation motion system needs. The servo drive supports standard compliance and performance monitoring and operates reliably in changing conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions about 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1:

Q: How does switching frequency affect 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1 performance?

A: Higher switching frequencies reduce continuous current capability. At 20 kHz, current decreases by 0.075 A/K starting at -50.9°C which affects power delivery efficiency.

Q: Why does 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1 need insulation classification?

A: It complies with IEC TS 60034-25:2004 limit value curve A. This protects motors from voltage stress and ensures compatibility with standard insulation levels.

Q: Do motor line lengths affect 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1 operation?

A: Yes, longer motor lines cause higher voltage drop. At 5 kHz, the max length supported is 75 meters, ensuring signal integrity and consistent motor response.

Q: Why does 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1 reduce current at elevation?

A: Above 500 meters, cooling efficiency drops. To protect components, the continuous current decreases by 0.88 A per 1000 m to prevent thermal stress.

Q: How does 8EI8X8HWT10.0700-1 support fine-stranded wires?

A: The terminal accepts 1.5 to 6 mm² wires with end sleeves. This ensures secure and vibration-resistant connections in industrial control cabinets.
