The 8EI8X8HWT10.0600-1 servo drive is produced by B & R Automation for the 8EI Servo Drives series and belongs to the ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive line. It provides three inverter channels that control coordinated motor motion in packaging machines, assembly cells, and material-handling stations. By combining multi-axis power electronics and feedback interfaces in one enclosure, the unit reduces cabinet space and simplifies installation in industrial automation systems that require compact, synchronized axis control. The integrated arrangement also shortens connections between the inverter channels and their shared power components, supporting an organized cabinet layout.
As a 3-axis module, the device contains three synchronized inverters, each capable of supplying a continuous current of 8.8 Aeff to a compatible motor winding. The common DC bus accepts a three-phase, 200–480 VAC supply, allowing operation on both 230 V and 400 V power systems. An internal braking resistor dissipates regenerated energy without requiring an external load bank. The integrated hardwired STO safety technology removes motor-producing torque when a safe stop is requested. A fitted front cover shields live terminals and directs airflow across the heat sink, helping the power semiconductors remain within their permitted temperature range during repeated acceleration and deceleration cycles.
The enclosure supports wall mounting, allowing the drive to be secured directly to a suitable cabinet surface. A keyed one-row connector set routes control power, encoder feedback, and input/output signals while helping prevent incorrect connector placement. The unit does not include a plug-in module for additional functions, so required control and feedback connections use the integrated interfaces. Its front cover is secured to protect the connection area while preserving access for wiring and routine inspection. Internal STO wiring is incorporated into the assembly, reducing the number of external connections needed for the torque-off circuit. The shared enclosure keeps the three inverter channels close to the common DC bus and braking components without requiring separate housings for each controlled axis.
