The 8EI8X8HWS10.0700-1 servo drive is built by B & R Automation and belongs to the ACOPOS P3 8EI Servo Drives series. Acting as the power and control interface between a three-phase supply and a synchronous servo motor, the unit converts line energy into precisely timed PWM output so that packaging, assembly, and material-handling machines can coordinate high-precision motion profiles. It is supplied as a stand-alone module that installs in control cabinets alongside PLC and safety hardware.
This 1-axis module delivers a continuous phase current of 8.8 Aeff and tolerates up to 24 Aeff for short accelerations. It supplies 4 kW continuously, peaks at 10 kW, and reaches 598 Hz output frequency. A 470 µF DC-bus capacitor stores energy and an internal braking resistor handles regeneration. Inrush current is 45 A, while installed load is 10 kVA. The mains input accepts 50/60 Hz (±4 %) from three-phase 200–480 VAC, and hard-wired STO with encoder feedback disconnects the stage when required. A single motor connects through the two-row header; the one-row variant is omitted. Wall mounting and the included front cover complete the IP20 cabinet design.
With a protection rating of IP20, the housing measures 66 × 290 × 258.5 mm, enabling tight side-by-side mounting. It accepts 3x 200–480 VAC networks and weighs 3.2 kg, easing installation in elevated cabinets.
