B&R Automation's 8EI4X5MWTS0.0700-13 is a servo drive unit in the ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive series. As an 8EI module, it integrates with compatible motion controllers to regulate torque, speed, and position on multiple synchronous or induction motors used in packaging lines, pick-and-place stations, and similar machinery. By combining three power stages in one housing, it reduces cabinet space and simplifies wiring. This arrangement supports compact multi-axis layouts where several motors must be controlled from a single drive assembly. It is suited for machines that combine conveyor motion, indexing, and synchronized axis control in a common cabinet.

The drive accepts a supply of 3x 200-230 VAC / 1x 110-230 VAC, allowing either three-phase or single-phase feeds commonly used in control panels. During continuous operation, it can deliver 4.5 Aeff per axis, which suits small-to-medium servomotors in coordinated motion tasks. That output is appropriate for axes that need consistent current delivery during positioning and speed changes. An internal braking resistor dissipates regenerative energy without an external resistor bank. Functional safety is handled by the SafeMOTION package, which works with a digital encoder to support safe torque off, safe limited speed, and related protective functions. Connections are made through a 2-row connector set, which separates power, logic, and feedback wiring. The separate plugs help keep cable routing orderly in dense cabinets.

The hardware supplied in this order is a 3-axis module built for wall mounting, so the heat sink fins face cabinet airflow and do not require a separate subplate. The mounting format supports direct installation on the cabinet back panel. A sealed front cover shields the connector block from accidental contact and contamination when the cabinet door is open. The standard module option is used here, and the drive is supplied without a plug-in module.
