Internal Product Review
The 8EI4X5MWTS0.0600-1 is a 3-axis servo drive suited for coordinated machine control. SafeMOTION with digital encoder adds valuable functional safety, while 4.5 Aeff continuous current supports steady output under load. Wall mounting and an internal braking resistor make the package especially appealing for clean, efficient drive integration.

Product Description:
The 8EI4X5MWTS0.0600-1 servo drive is produced by B&R Automation for the 8EI Servo Drives series within the ACOPOS P3 platform. It converts incoming mains power into controlled motor outputs for coordinated motion in packaging lines, assembly cells, and other automated equipment. Integrated control, safety, and power electronics allow several motion axes to operate from one compact unit instead of requiring a separate drive for each motor. This arrangement reduces the amount of cabinet wiring and provides centralized control of motor torque, speed, and position.
The drive is a 3-axis module that can operate three servomotors from a shared power and control platform. Each axis supplies 4.5 Aeff of continuous current, providing sustained output for compatible mid-frame servomotors. The input stage accepts 3× 200–230 VAC three-phase power or 110–230 VAC single-phase power, allowing the unit to operate with either supported supply arrangement. Motion safety is provided by the SafeMOTION package with a digital encoder interface, which supports safe torque off and monitored motion functions without separate safety relays. An internal braking resistor absorbs regenerated energy during rapid deceleration, reducing the need for a separate resistor assembly. Combining these electrical functions in one housing also reduces external connections between the power stage, safety system, and motion controller.
The enclosure supports wall mounting, which provides a secure cabinet installation and allows cables to be routed directly to the connection points. A sealed front cover protects live terminals while leaving the single-row Connector Set 1 accessible for wiring. The omission of a two-row connector set helps limit the module width in space-constrained enclosures. The drive is supplied with no plug-in module, leaving the reserved interface unoccupied. It remains part of the ACOPOS P3 family and uses the platform’s integrated architecture for multi-axis motion control. The compact enclosure allows the power stage, safety functions, and motor connections to be installed together while maintaining access to the front-facing terminals for inspection and routine service.
