Product Description:
The 8EI4X5HWT10.0600-1 servo drive is produced by B&R Automation within the 8EI Servo Drives series. Classified in the ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive product family, it is intended to regulate multiple synchronous or induction motors in coordinated industrial motion sequences. By combining power electronics with real-time feedback processing, the unit supplies precisely metered current to each axis so that machine tools, packaging equipment, and material-handling stations can follow commanded profiles with accurate speed, torque, and position control. This makes the drive suitable for tightly synchronized axis groups where timing between motors must remain consistent during acceleration, constant-speed travel, and stopping.
This delivery variant is a 3-axis module, so one housing can energize three motor windings while sharing a common DC link. Each axis can draw a continuous 4.5 Aeff, which suits small-to-medium servo stages that require steady torque. The mains input of 3x 200-480 VAC supports a wide range of three-phase supplies. A built-in internal braking resistor converts regenerated energy to heat and helps prevent DC-bus overvoltage during rapid deceleration. Functional safety is provided by hardwired STO with encoder feedback, and a fitted front cover shields the power terminals and signal connectors from accidental contact.
The chassis supports wall mounting, which saves rail space and promotes airflow behind the heat sink. Standard service interfaces are routed through Connector Set 1, and a second two-row connector is not installed, which keeps the connection layout straightforward. No plug-in module is supplied with this version. This arrangement leaves unused connector space out of the assembly. The unit uses the standard module option, giving it the baseline configuration for the product line without custom add-on hardware.
