Product Description:
The 8EI4X5HWS10.0200-1 is a servo drive module produced by B&R Automation for the 8EI Servo Drives series and the ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive family. Supplied as a compact controller for one motor axis, it forms the power and control interface between the plant motion controller and the servo motor. In industrial automation, the module regulates torque, velocity, and position loops so conveyors, packaging stations, and pick-and-place gantries can maintain repeatable motion profiles. Its compact format supports installations where cabinet space must be used efficiently without reducing axis control capability.
The module type is a 1-axis module, so its power stage, current sensors, and encoder interface are sized for a single motor circuit. During continuous duty, it can deliver 4.5 Aeff of output current without derating, and it is fed from a 3x 200–480 VAC mains supply for use on low-voltage or high-voltage factory grids. The module uses Hardwired STO safety technology with encoder, which interrupts torque-producing power when the safety chain is opened. The housing is designed for wall mounting, so the heat sink aligns with the cabinet wall to support airflow. The drive has no internal braking resistor, so dynamic stopping energy must be routed to an external resistor.
This part includes a Front cover that protects live terminals during maintenance and routine access. It is delivered with the Standard module option and includes a one-row connector set for power, feedback, and I/O connections. No two-row connector set or plug-in module is supplied, which keeps the wiring arrangement simple and leaves cabinet depth unchanged. These features make the unit suitable for straightforward single-axis installations that need integrated motion control, safety shutdown, and orderly terminal protection in one compact package.
